Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, SMA Services, Inc. was established in 1984 as a wholly-owned, for-profit subsidiary of the Southern Medical Association (SMA). At that time, its main purpose was to provide SMA members with personal and professional financial services ranging from insurance and retirement.
While continuing to provide group services for the Southern Medical Association and its members, SMA Services, Inc. has expanded in scope and currently offers quality administrative services to everyone.
